30 feet of automotive-grade 16AWG, 3-conductor, stranded oxygen-free copper extension wire. PVC jacket, flexible, made for the heat cycles and vibration of car installs. Use it to extend any RGB LED strip system — signal in, ground, and power, all in one clean run from controller to strip.
Why this wire over generic spool from the hardware store
- 16AWG — the right gauge for 12V automotive LED systems. Thinner than 14AWG (no overkill bulk in tight runs), thicker than 18AWG (no voltage drop on long extensions).
- 3 conductor / 3-core sheathed — positive, ground, signal, all in one jacket. Cleaner install, no separate wire bundling.
- Oxygen-free stranded copper — flexes 10x more cycles than solid-core before fatigue, conducts cleaner than rebranded aluminum-core wire that gets sold as "copper."
- 30 ft per roll — enough for a full Fitment Kit install with cable to spare. Most cars need ~18-22 ft total run.
- PVC jacket — abrasion-resistant, won't crack in California heat or freeze brittle in Sierra winters.

Pro install tip from Domo's shop
Always run your extension wire INSIDE the OEM wire loom or factory routing channels — never across exposed metal edges. Add a piece of split-loom tubing on any section that crosses the engine bay or near hot exhaust components. Five extra minutes of routing saves a $400 short-circuit later.
